CityScape Community ArtSpace | Pushing Boundaries 2019

This biennial group exhibition showcases and celebrates contemporary Indigenous artists. The theme of the 2019 exhibition is the blanket and the role of the blanket in Indigenous cultures. This focus is intended to encourage conversations around the symbol of the blanket.
Participating artists include alums Michelle Sound (MFA, 2011) and Richard Heikkilä-Sawan (BFA, 2015) as well as ECU community member, Xwalactun. Other artists include Cheximiya Allison Burns Joseph, Krystle Coughlin, Ocean Hyland, Atheana Picha, and Manuel Strain.
