WVCC Public Art Project | Call for Artists

The District of West Vancouver invites expressions of interest from artists or artist teams to design and integrate a site-specific public art at the West Vancouver Community Centre (Community Centre) located at 2121 Marine Drive, West Vancouver, BC.

This opportunity is open to professional artists and artist teams who demonstrate the following:

  • Are able to meet the deadlines and stay within approved budget.
  • Have the skills and experience required to manage all phases of the implementation from design to installation.
  • Reside in Canada.
  • Have an understanding of the vision and themes as stated below.

The site for the public art is at the exterior of the south entrance to the West Vancouver Community Centre on the lawn leading to the West Vancouver Seniors’ Activity Centre. Adjacent to the designated site is an existing water fountain that is located immediately outside the community centre that also has outdoor seating for a café in the summer months and is busy with children playing around the fountain.

The installation will engage the local community, users, and visitors to the Community Centre.
